Spanish

"You live a new life for every language you speak. If you only know one language, you only live once."
Czech proverb

Mission Statement

Rooted in gospel values St Cecilia’s Catholic School Community lives together, learns together, loves together.

Vision

At Saint Cecilia’s, our vision is that our children will develop their language learning skills and become all round global citizens. We teach Spanish in KS2 in order to prepare our children for a rapidly changing world.  Learning a foreign language prepares our children for life in modern Britain, in which work and activities increasingly involve using languages other than English.

We intend that through learning Spanish, our pupils will develop an awareness of cultural differences and develop a tolerance of diversity within society. We also hope that through their learning of Spanish, our children will be open-minded and adventurous in all aspects of their life and learning.
